  27. OpenEnd - Vector Format Conversion - Version 1.10

  29. Schoenaich, October, 18, 1994 - VHF Computer announced today a new
  30. version of the vector graphics processing software OpenEnd, offering
  31. a wide scope of import and export formats. OpenEnd does not only
  32. cover the main conversion possibilities in the fields of CAD or
  33. DTP, it also establishes a stable link between both types of
  34. applications. Among the convertible formats are PostScript, AI,
  35. HPGL, DXF and Gerber. Conversions are possible from any format
  36. mentioned to any other.

  38. Problems regarding the conversion quality, i. e. arithmetic precision,
  39. are very unlikely. The internal floating-point precision (better
  40. than 25400 DPI) ensures optimum results even for complicated formats.

  42. One of OpenEnd's very handy features is the preview. OpenEnd allows
  43. to display a detailed view of all imported formats on screen and
  44. is therefore excellent for control purposes and manufacturing
  45. preview.   On NEXTSTEP the plotter output is a weakpoint of the
  46. system. However, using OpenEnd it is getting possible to have
  47. documents, drawings and charts plotted quickly, accurately and in
  48. various colors. Often this is the first time one realizes the full
  49. capabilities of this output medium.

  52. its functionality to a preview of the import formats. The demo
